About Me
 

Justin Milton, a independent filmmaker, is a writer, director and producer.   A native of Houston, Texas, he graduated from Willowridge High School and Texas Southern University majoring in Criminal Justice.  He began volunteering as a Production Assistant (PA) on the sets of a small film club at Sam Houston State University.

 

In 2023, he founded Art Actualized Studios LLC and has completed eight feature films (The Foreign Student, Don’t Shoot, Dilemma, Hero, Friend Zone, Kasi, Becky, and Twisted Sister).

 

Justin is a self -taught filmmaker.  He has never had any formal classes or training.  He is passionate about films that are entertaining and fun that the African American Community can see someone that looks like them and relate to.  He uses personal experiences to help make the movies somewhat realistic.  He loves to provide jobs and opportunities for cast and crew of all ethnicities in the Houston area.  Our crew and casts are significant in creating films using the minimum to create a unique film experience that others will enjoy watching.  For a couple of his films, the score was done my award-winning composer-drummer, Christian X. McGhee.  He is grateful that Christian elevated the films with his music.

 

It is Justin’s goal to keep improving his craft and take indie filmmaking to the next level The plan is also to provide scholarships to high school graduating seniors that plan to major in some form of filmmaking in front or behind the camera (acting, directing, producing, screenwriting, cinematograph, editing and sound, etc).
